Online Drivers Education Courses
The 30 Hour Online Education Course is a flexible self-paced online driver education course designed for teens, adults, homeschool students, and first-time drivers throughout Virginia.
- Must have in order to take behind the wheel
- Must take final test in person
- Equivalent to a DEC-1 orange card
- DMV approved
The Virginia Driver’s Manual Course is an 8-hour DMV classroom course required if you have failed the Virginia learner’s permit test three times. After taking this course, you’ll be allowed to retake the permit test.
- Take if failed permit test 3 times
- Bring certificate to DMV to resume testing
- DMV Approved
An 8 Hour Driver Improvement Course for licensed drivers who received a ticket in Virginia, an advisory letter from the DMV, or would like to receive up to 5 safe driving points or a discount on your insurance premium.

Behind The Wheel Teens & Adults
Behind the Wheel Drivers Training – Under 18 (7 days) $300.00 (Hampton, Yorktown, Newport News).
Williamsburg – $350.00
- 7 day Program Monday through Sunday
- Provide full transportation with pick-up and drop off
- Must have driving experience
- Must have Permit (preferably at least 6 months of practice) and Classroom Certification
- Course covers basic driving skills as well as defensive driving tactics
- Students are issued Drivers License (TDL 180) after the 7th day road test
ADULTS Behind the wheel Training – 18 and older (mandatory 7 days) $400.00
Adults Behind the wheel age 18 (mandatory 7 days) $325.00
- Adult has held their permit (under 18 held for 6-9 months) (over 18 held for 2 months)
- Under 19 needs to have a orange card/ dec-1 card / 30 hour online course/classroom course
- Needs to have prior driving experience
